ATTENTION: business owner, entrepreneur, author, service provider...

Are you struggling to find a way to profit from your event?

Sure you find sponsors but they can be hard to find if you're just starting out. I've created this list to help you create an event that pays instead of costs.

When I first started doing events, I was dead broke. I had to learn to do everything because I couldn't afford to hire anyone. I made the graphics, took the photos, worked the door, hosted, performed and everything in between. Trying to save money cost me quality. Once I learned how to make more money from events, I didn't mind investing more.

I could hire performers, book a host and provide refreshments with no stress because I knew I would get my money back. Maybe that's what you need.
A plan to recoup. A strategy to flip your money. An idea to cover your costs. I've taken the time to compile this list for you. Instead of combing through Google and spending hours on YouTube, find the answers here.

Here's are some tips to get you started:

Tip #8: Complete research marketing - Your audience is not just yours. Other business owners share that audience and they are trying to reach them. Be the bridge that connects them. Conduct surveys, test new products, pitch to new markets, help develop lead generations or record samples on video. If set up in a vendor booth, you could provide the guests with treats to get their participation. Or you could slide it into the check-in process. Either way, that's an extra stream.

Tip #17: Partner w/ a travel agent - How many times have you traveled out of town to an event? This time, get paid for people traveling to your event. Partner w/ a travel agent or you can even become a travel agent on your own. Create an exclusive experience for attendees who chose to stay a particular place. Do this by having everyone meet in the bar, on the rooftop or spa, whichever your hotel offers. Earn money from people attending your event as well as commission from every hotel room booked. If attendees have family traveling with them you can even earn money from other event tickets such as concerts, sporting events and City Pass.
